I'm always surprised by Pamfiloff's books, but also deeply satisfied. I think the book will be one way, and she zags in the most delicious ways. I immediately got a Lost tv series vibe, with the Island drawing people to it and having an agenda. The story touches on themes of environmental pollution, physiology, biology, sociology, evolution and Pamfiloff's favorite, LOVE. Love can conquer anything, according to her beautiful writing style, that grabs you and won't let go. The Island is alive and causes drama, adventure and tension that truly grips you. And even with all that, I don't get a paranormal vibe nor a sci-fi vibe from the story. The author keeps the focus on character development, and therefore it all feels organic and true. This is the key to Pamfiloff's writing. She never succumbs to pressure to be a one genre writer. This story is truly unique and highly enjoyable.Product details

This book was way different than the "Accidentally" series but I really liked why it was written. Wouldn't it be nice if love could change everyone the way it's supposed too? Good going Mimi!
I read all three of these and i will not read another Mimi Jean Pamfiloff...
There was never a dull moment reading this series, it kept me guessing about what was going to happen next. I could not stop until I knew the final outcome of Roen and Liv's story.
I usually love Mimi's books and I really tried to finish this trilogy but just couldn't do it. Kept on hoping that it would get better, then I started to just skim through the pages to try and get to the end but I just gave up on it. Read 3/4 and it never got better.
Wow just wow I have to say that this is the second series that I read from this author and I have to say that I love it. Love it from the first page in the first book to the last page in the third book. And let me just say that I couldn't put the book down I wanted more. Love the characters and love how the book end it love it.
First off everything she writes is amazing....think King trilogy...my heart sighs! This trilogy was amazing. I love how the mermen are not the typical tailed type. The mythology behind these hunks alone on a sexy island is fantastic. The female characters are kick ass and the males are...you guessed it yummy! The action throughout the book is exciting and the chemistry between Roen and Liv is something out of a dream. Once again I love this author and all her books! This is a must read...enjoy!
I enjoyed the book even though there was a lot of me Tarzan you jane style at first. The book took a lovely swing into yes women do have power too. The positive changes that slowly grew into a gentle roar was nice too read. I have so far enjoyed every book written by the author and I look forward to reading more of her books.
